This vision has fueled his mission to bring dignity and inclusion to those society often overlooks. “There’s wisdom in the gutter,” AJ says, reminding us that resilience, creativity, and even genius often come from those who have endured the most.
Documentary Storytelling
Through his upcoming docu-series, Our People Rise: American Tales of Triumph, premiering in 2025, AJ highlights stories of people who have overcome homelessness, addiction, and mental health struggles. These narratives don’t sensationalize pain—they spotlight humanity, resilience, and hope.
The Toolkit for Transformation
AJ is also developing a free online curriculum and toolkit for people coming off the streets. Based on his own 10-year journey of piecing together transformational tools—from Landmark distinctions to recovery principles—this toolkit provides a “Swiss army knife” of skills for reframing trauma, building resilience, and stepping into new possibilities. The vision is bold: to create a nationwide program that combines peer support, mentorship, and innovation to disrupt the current approach to homelessness.
Building a Movement
Partnerships, corporate sponsorships, and grassroots involvement are all part of AJ’s strategy. He emphasizes including people with lived experience—not just as beneficiaries, but as leaders shaping the future.
A Legacy of We Over Me
Asked how he wants to be remembered, AJ says simply: “That I embodied the we over the me. That Our People Rise was born from that place.”
