Craig Hacche and his late wife, Dr. Makena Marangu, co-founded Answer Africa in 2006.

Twenty years later, the mission is still alive – and growing. Answer Africa is a nonprofit dedicated to advancing global awareness by equipping and empowering African leaders with the financial security to develop sustainable, African-led solutions in health, education, and economic opportunity.

Recently, Craig and his team have committed to a $1M fundraising goal, shaped through the lens of equitable socioeconomic sustainability and a desire to shift outdated global narratives about Africa. Through flat-structured collaboration, Answer Africa builds global partnerships that strengthen grassroots African leadership and drive meaningful, lasting change.

Craig and his team are tackling the challenging conversations and actions surrounding cultural bias and global equity, and invite you to open your minds and hearts to a question that often divides rather than unites us: What is your definition of justice?
